The MidJourney V5 is here — get ready for exploring an incredible art experience!

Midjourney is making quite a stir in the AI-driven image creation space.

Followed by the launch of Midjourney Magazine, Midjourney 5 is also out and sparking waves this week!

Changes with Midjourney V5
1. Wider Stylistic Range
A much wider range of stylistic options can be readily prompted for desired changes. It will also be more responsive to prompting.

2. Higher Resolution
Incredible improvements in image quality — with a whopping 2x increase in resolution and dynamic range!

As of now, there is no V5 upscaler and it inherits the same resolution from upscaled V4, making all the images look sharper and clearer. If you click upscale it will just instantly give you that one image by itself.

With the increased number of moderators and better moderation tooling, we can expect more realistic images in Midjourney V5.

3. Greater Clarity and Precision
We can now get more detailed images while unwanted text is minimized. It’s a great way to ensure accuracy in the output!
We can see an improvement in coherency. In — v 5 you’ll notice fewer chaosblobs. Faces and hands are dramatically improved.

4. Image prompting  "— iw"
With — iw, you can adjust the relative importance of image URLs compared to plain text. By default, the value is 0.25 but you can control it manually by including — iw in your command line. Utilizing higher — iw values can make a huge difference in the quality of the finished product, as it will be more deeply influenced by the initial image prompt.
